
Glimpsing and Realizing Open-Hearted Awareness

About this Session
The goal of meditation is awakening which begins with a shift out of our small separate sense of self into spacious awake awareness. It is possible to have glimpses of this pure awareness, but in order to live an embodied open-hearted life it is important not to stop with this initial shift. We can “wake up” from small self to recognize pure awareness, then we can “wake to” rest as awake awareness, then we “wake in” to experientially realize the nondual pair of awareness and form, then we can “wake out” to live from compassionate wisdom. We can then create and relate from effortless heart mindfulness. The view from our true nature is beyond the relative polarity of hate and love and is not overwhelmed by our own and other people’s emotional life. Loch will offer a map approach and small glimpses to help untie knots of contracted identity and directly realize the truth of living from open-hearted awareness.
