About this Session
This is Part One of a two-part series with Freedom Cartwright and Corinne Zupko.
Open the heart, know the truth, and be not afraid to look.
We will be looking at how we, as teachers and students, use principles of A Course in Miracles to: Justify our judgments and biases. Avoid having uncomfortable conversations about race. Ignore the presence of racism in ourselves and in our groups.
Racism, as a virulent form of separation, is a cherished part of the ego thought system. Because the ego is determined to keep separation intact, the ego has hidden the trauma of racism in our bodies and minds. Therefore, we will be using embodiment practices to allow ourselves to be present to discomfort and to calm our nervous systems while we look within.
